Inspired by a passion for mental health, educational equity, and giving back, Begonia established Empower Bright Minds to serve the very community where she grew up. She continues to lead the practice with compassion, cultural humility, and a strong dedication to meaningful, community-centered care.

Jorge J. Alvarez is a seasoned Clinical Supervisor with dual licensure as a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). With a strong foundation as a former school psychologist, he brings decades of experience supporting children and adults across both educational and clinical settings. He is a valued member of Empower Bright Minds Psychology, providing expert supervision and mentorship to our associates.

Faviola Macias brings Empower Bright Minds Psychology a wealth of experience in working with both children and adults. As a Clinical Supervisor, she has a strong background in supporting school-aged children dealing with emotional challenges, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Her extensive knowledge and compassionate guidance have significantly enriched our practice, offering high-quality training and mentorship to our associate clinicians. Favi is committed to fostering growth, resilience, and clinical excellence at every level of care.

Licensed Educational Psychologist
Orlando brings a wealth of experience, with a strong foundation in education, mental health, and student advocacy. Before becoming a school psychologist, he taught 6th grade and worked as an Intervention Teacher, Educational Advocate, and Behavior Technician—roles that deepened his understanding of diverse student needs. He specializes in psychoeducational assessments across all grade levels, with expertise in Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and Emotional Disability. Orlando is committed to delivering evidence-based evaluations and personalized recommendations that help students succeed both academically and emotionally.
